The original windows had been replaced in the 1950’s with smaller, strip windows and infill panels. We went back to the original drawings and found the original window design. We then removed all the panels and small windows and filled the openings with new windows similar to the original design. The new windows were made of insulated glass and transom panels were provided in the upper sash to accommodate a new suspended ceiling. Windows in the stairs above the main entry had been previously closed off; we opened these up with new insulated glass which allows daylight into the stair tower.
